‘They can no longer expect to ignore the law with impunity’

An academic group that helped expose the reach of Chinese-funded propaganda in American universities has a message for academia: We told you so.

The Department of Education’s new investigation into universities for allegedly hiding foreign funding “is sending a powerful signal to colleges and universities: They can no longer expect to ignore the law with impunity,” Rachelle Peterson, policy director of the National Association of Scholars, told The College Fix.

The probes into Georgetown University and Texas A&M concern university assets from governments and companies in China, Russia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, according to June 13 department letters to the universities obtained by the Associated Press.

This is something that should have been done back in the 30's.

Better late than never,though.

UPDATE: It just occurred to me this DID happen in the late 40,and the effort was led by Senator Joe McCarthy. Robert Kennedy was one of his aides. McCarthy hammered them hard as well as their handlers by exposing them as communist agents of Soviet Russia. This is what led to the "Hollywood Blacklist" you may have heard about.

McCarthy definitely had the goods on them,but wasn't allowed to offer proof because if he had,he would have exposed ongoing intelligent operations and methods,so he had to remain silent as to proof. As a result,they were able to turn on him and hound him out of office.

One of the "proofs" he knew about and couldn't tell about was exposed in the 70's or 80's and it was the FBI had wire taps on the Soviet Embassy in DC,and were recording every phone call made in and out. The Russians thought they had  a secure system that couldn't be tapped,so they spoke freely when naming names and talking about the blackmail or the money that made this possible, By this time McCarthy was dead and his reputation remained in ruins.

I keep hoping for that outcome every time I remind them of this.

BTW,there are plenty of conservatives that don't want this talked about either,because it was primarily wealthy Jews from Hollywood and NYC banking families doing the financing. Their parents had escaped from the pogroms in Russia,but were still in love with the dream of communism. They still thought communism was the dream of the future,and they were going to "do it right this time".

IIRC,it was a Schiff from NYC that lent the Japanese government the money they needed to build their Naval fleet large enough to defeat the Czars Navy in the War of 1905. Think about that one,for a minute. Here is a Jewish family that escaped the clutches of the Czar's Secret Police and had to abandon ALL of his Real Property in Russia in order to save his own life and the lives of his family member,and he STILL had enough money to personally finance the entire construction of the Navy of a major nation. IN 1905.

That,my friends,pretty much defines wealth.

The Schiff family is still involved in Politics. Goober Gore has a daughter that married one of the grandsons or great grandsons. The same families that were their friends and accomplices back in the late 19th and early 20th Century are also still politically active and still seeking world control.
