Swimming pools splashed over their rims. Disneyland rides came to a halt. A baseball stadium rocked. The 7.1-magnitude Ridgecrest earthquake shook California on July 5 and left a notable scar behind for satellites to witness.

Planet Labs' Doves satellite system images all of Earth every day. Planet Labs CEO Will Marshall shared his company's view of the damage to Twitter on Sunday.

The before-and-after images come from July 4 and July 6 and show a significant surface rupture near the epicenter. This kind of rupture occurs when the ground offsets during an earthquake. It looks like a slash or crack cut into the earth.

It makes one wonder.... if the time is drawing closer for the modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah is about to be dealt with.   I honestly can't imagine any time in the past...in any part of the world ... where the poor and homeless (and insane) were allowed to deposit human feces on city streets.   Add to that the push for homosexuality by radical leftists... and the blatant disregard for morals being displayed these days.... as the left seeks to destroy Christian values, morals and heterosexual marriage... which has been the backbone of America's success.   Something's got to give, and perhaps a natural disaster (the "big one" long predicted) will be the wake up call.  I don't really expect most of the surviving folks in those areas to "wake up" even then, however.  Most of the sensible folks have already moved the hell out.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.

I cannot begin to imagine living in California these days (or even visiting).

As a Socal native, and having lived here most of my days, I often remind myself, to assemble the evidence of my reality, compared to news.

Leaving home in a minutes, for my daily fitnes walk. Nearby regional park*, Temp 67 F, gentle cool ocean breeze.

My area has often has the safest medium population cities. (absence of crime)

*the park is located in an area near  illegal immigrants' neighborhood, coyotes, lizards, squirrels, rabbits, snakes, and homeless.

Until last Nov. my area elected and reelected their 10 term Republican, "true conservative;" Dana Rohrabacher. His platform was to permit home sellers, to refuse selling to gays*.
He lost, and soon moved to Maine.

Still not sure if this was intentional political suicide, or another instance of the "Stupid Party"
