Remains of missing Utah student Mackenzie Lueck found in Salt Lake City
by Ellie Bufkin
 | June 28, 2019 02:22 PM

Breaking news has emerged in the case of the missing University of Utah student. Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown confirmed that a search conducted Wednesday at a home in the Fairbank neighborhood revealed the discovery of human remains that were determined to be those of Mackenzie Lueck, who had been missing for 11 days.

The search also turned up several charred items later determined to be consistent with items belonging to Lueck and a fresh dig site ostensibly meant to conceal evidence of the young woman's demise.

SWAT team members were spotted entering a home and making one arrest in northern Salt Lake City Friday morning. Early reporting suggests the homeowner has been taken into custody in connection with the disappearance of 23-year-old Lueck.

Brown announced the arrest of Ayoola "AJ" Ajayi, a 31-year-old former Army information technology specialist. Ajayi was charged with aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping, obstruction of justice, and desecration of a human body.

The Sun with pictures and the "sugar baby" story, I read about that elsewhere yesterday. It's not a good sign if she was looking for "sugar daddies" and that probably means, she got on social media about this.

A bad scene.

I'd love to read a story sometime about a young female who while being kidnapped, pulled out a concealed weapon and shot and killed her would-be kidnapper.

I'd probably feel more sorry for her if she wasn't doing this sugar daddy crap: a lazy and obviously dangerous activity.

Get a bleep job already.

Sadly, a vast majority of women as you go younger, despite all their feminist bluff, prefer to be kept women living an upper middle class suburbanite lifestyle.

There was a reason in the old days that families kept close tabs on young females. There was a reason there were chaperones and stricter rules about dating.
But today many or most young females reject that control. That want to be free to date whomever they please without any controls. And then they end up dead like this young woman.

When the recession hit, it seemed like everyone started getting judgmental about their partners' jobs. If they couldn't be successful, they were going to marry someone who was.

My heart breaks for this family.

I don't know if he is a Sugar Daddy. His house doesn't look all that daddyish. I don't know what she was looking for.

I keep reminding myself that young people today are less mature than we were. And the internet causes lots of issues. I thank God every day that there was no internet when I was ultra stupid and trying out my wings. Plus, I got married really young and it stopped me in my tracks.

What ever the story turns out to be...it's sad. I watched Criminal Minds a couple of times. It scared the heck out of me. Don't get me wrong, it was a well done show. But people watch that and get ideas.

Must have married right then; the missus stood by me when I was laid off, and fully supported me when I had to take a lower-paying job afterward.

I agree with most of this, unfortunately, I've come across young ladies who do seem to have a distorted view of things on this level. I'm not sure how to properly describe it.  And I'm sure it pertains to young males as much. She was probably pretty naive and it backfired on her.

Here's the bit about her prostitution activities:

...   DailyMail.com previously revealed that Lueck claimed to be a 'sugar baby' seeking men over the age of 35 online. Her Instagram bio includes the hashtag '#callherdaddy'.

The college senior's social media accounts reveal that she considered herself a sugar baby, and boasted about having at least two unidentified sugar daddies which she found through online sites Seeking Arrangement and Tinder.

DailyMail.com obtained screenshots of Lueck's posts made nearly three months ago in a private Facebook group where Lueck gave advice on how she finds sugar daddies - wealthy older men who lavish younger women with gifts and money in return for company or sexual favors.  ...  https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7191903/Friends-missing-Utah-student-Mackenzie-Lueck-spot-activity-Instagram-account.html?ito=social-facebook

"Sugar Baby" is just another way to say 'prostitute'.
Prostitution is a very dangerous way to make money.
What happened to her is sad, but not surprising.
Play dangerous games, get dangerous rewards.

This reminds me of the Match.com commercials. Whenever I hear one of those ads, I always add "with lots of money" to the end of every sentence the women say.
I'm looking for a 'nice guy' (with lots of money)
Someone who will make me laugh (with lots of money)
I want to build a stable relationship (with lots of money)
I like to travel (with lots of money)

Come find meee! (with lots of money)

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if a Dominos manager showed up making less than 50K a year, the 'date' would likely not last very long. Like MacKenzie, most girls on these dating sites are looking for an old Sugar Daddy sucker. They couldn't care less about a 'relationship' or finding a 'mate'. They want to trade sex and the attention of a young woman for cold hard cash, and lots of it.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

You're equating sugar-baby prostitution with dating?

I admit that I am cynical. But it is cynicism based on experience.
Women LOVE money. That is a fact. They want to feel that their future is secure.
MONEY and power is the ultimate aphrodisiac to almost any woman.
Don't really think 'dating sites' are about 'dating'.
They are popular because women are able to screen dozens of guys looking for the millionaire they want to marry.
When a woman's profile says, "I love to travel." that's pretty big hint what they are looking for.
If I take some woman with me to Barbados, the trip will not be without reciprocation.
We just had an article which said that many women go on a date, just for the free meal.
It is not prostitution like $20 behind the 7-11. But it is also not not prostitution in the broader sense.

Cynical isn't the word I would use.  And, regarding the article about women going on a date for food, it was only 1/3 of them.  Meaning the majority wouldn't.

Enlighten me please @Sanguine . I can only assume that this is something negative? But go ahead. Let me know what is going through that bottomless brain of yours. I'm a big boy and never get mad. Which word would you use?

I know you are big boy and all-around good guy, but I would use misogynist.  Cynical is too general.

I see. To be a misogynist I would have to disagree with this mentality or way of thinking. In other words, I would only be a misogynist if I felt that what they are doing is somehow wrong. On the contrary, my view of women looking out for their and their possible children's future is completely natural and historical. That's just the way the world works. They didn't make the rules, nobody did. They just are.

I'm only pointing out my view of the reality of the world, as it is. Not that it is right or wrong, or good or bad, it simply is what it is. It is the way of nature.

Her naive mistake cost her, her life. Thrill seeker?

I wonder if they had met before? I wonder if she had done anonymous "dating" with strangers, before this time?

I wonder if her friends knew about this type of her behavior?

I wonder if she had regular boyfriends and dates?

When she contacted her folks, did she say "I am in the airport. Now taking a Lyft to a park north of SLC, to meet a strange older man for sex?"

I understand your POV, but I'm trying to point  out to you that it is based on your anecdotal data, or the information that you choose to remember.  By stating that women in general are mercenary in their relations to men is to tar most of us with your cynicism when we don't deserve that cynicism at all.  I can buy my own meals and do so.  I don't have to put up with men I don't like to have a nice meal, and I suspect that most of our TBR women don't either.

So, you want her to take you to the Barbados, some other time or did you bring a sawzall?
