Wayfair Employees Walkout Because The Company Is Supplying Beds To The Immigration Detainment Centers

By Elaine Williams June 27, 2019

Wayfair, a Boston-based furniture company, experienced a massive employee walkout on Wednesday. The company’s employees protested the $200,000 sale of mattresses and other furniture that will be used by immigrants at a border detention facility.

Apparently, 547 Wayfair employees don’t want the children in immigration detention centers to have beds. Hundreds of employees were so angered at the thought of children sleeping on dirty concrete floors that they demanded that Wayfair not conduct business with the detainment centers and they absolutely do not want Wayfair to provide mattresses for the children who are sleeping on the hard cold floors!
