‘Are You A Racist?’ Protesters Come For ‘Mayor Pete’ After Fatal Police Shooting Of Black Man

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg was confronted by a group of protesters in his own hometown Friday following the fatal police shooting of a black man by South Bend police early Sunday morning.

Police Sgt. Ryan O’Neill claimed he fired his weapon when Eric Logan, 54, approached him with a knife and refused to drop it after being confronted vandalizing a car parked at an apartment complex. Logan was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

No camera footage or witnesses exist of the incident, which has stirred up racial tensions in the area because the officer is white and Logan is black. Buttigieg canceled several campaign events, including a fish fry he was supposed to attend Friday, to deal with the issue.

Was thinking of this today...

It seems odd that a mayor of a smallish and probably liberal city would suddenly try to run for president, but...  consider...

What -other- possible statewide office might Butt[plug] actually WIN in Indiana?

Considering that the state (as a whole) seems to lean towards the right as much as Illinois next door leans left, could he be elected as governor, senator, or to the House?

I'm guessing... "no".
Thus... since he has little chance of "upward political mobility" in Indiana, why not just go for broke and run for president?
What's the worst thing that could happen?

You've got all these disparate Dem identity groups, and they all think they're on top of the pecking order.
Unfortunately for homosexuals, blacks are still on top. Homosexuals are somewhat down the list.
Maybe Bootyjunk should declare  himself part black and grow dreadlocks or something.
