Sen. Cardin: Trump 'Has a Constitutional Responsibility to Enforce' Immigration Laws

(CNSNews.com) -- When asked about the constitutional authority of the president of the United States, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) said, "yes," President Trump has a constitutional duty to "enforce all the laws of our country," including immigration laws. He added that Trump's leadership has "not been helpful in getting Congress together on immigration."

At the U.S. Capitol on Thursday, CNSNews.com asked, “Senator Cardin, Article 2, Section 3 of the Constitution says the president ‘shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.’ Does the president have a constitutional duty to enforce the immigration laws?”
