This statement deserves this. Waffle, backpedal? Worked with Mexico,

...

@TomSea

The topic is the deportation of the millions of illegals that the courts have ordered, nothing to do with Iran.

Look below at his Tweets, you can't see the back peddling?

The topic though was on 'waffling' and 'backpedaling' which the Prez was accused of doing and Iran was mentioned in one of these two threads by someone else first.. but I was saying how that was not backpedaling.

As for the statements he was ordering ICE to pick up millions, yes, that seems to be problematic to say the least.

2 weeks isn't much time, as commented elsewhere, our government is more efficient in red tape.

Maybe this is saying, "if you don't fix it, then, here goes".

I'm with you!

Trump has a lot of moving parts at play and it looks like a lot of them will work out. The wall is getting built, slower than we would like but it is getting built. Mexico is starting to come around since they don't want tariffs, or to be declared a "safe country". Now the Rats are under pressure to negotiate and if not lawful deportations will be increased. In the last case the Rats lose. The Pubs are already the party that wants our sovereignty protected and the Rats supposedly care about the illegals.

Just the other day another poster claimed that TBR was a Trump site....I can't win for losing.

It is neither..it is a conservative political/news site where you are free to criticize or praise political leaders

Fair enough.

It just seems people get so entrenched in their positions they can never see the victories.

PLEASE, please let me know what he IS currently doing with the situation at the border that is right.  I am serious.  I want a glimmer of hope here.

Really?

The wall is being built.

Mexico is trying to hold off tariffs and being forced to be a "safe country".

Now the Rats are being told negotiate, or deportations increase. BTW, who do you think sympathetic liberal Hispanic Americans will blame if the Rats don't negotiate. They may never vote for Pubs, but a lot won't vote for the Rats.

This just strengthens the Dems resolve to resist any kind of immigration reform...much less money for a wall.

AOC is all over Twitter today telling people how to help illegals avoid detention and what the illegals should do if ICE comes to deport them.

And how exactly does this hurt Pubs?

Hmm....................love his record???
Er.........................what record is that???
Oops........... ........I forgot, it's denuclearized NK, Venezuelan stability and that Chinese deal.
And best of all.......his spending restraint.
What's not to love????

What a great example of myopic vision.

China is struggling and businesses are moving out.

NK is not firing missiles and is not detonating nuclear bombs.

Venezuela is still a basket case and we did not go to war.

If you want spending restrain elect Trump supporters not establishment Pubs, or Rats.

I guess TBR is the anti-Trump home page. It seems like he can't do anything right.

I'm looking at his record and it's pretty good, especially when you look at how few allies he's really had.

I love this move on the deportations. If the Rats don't step up an negotiate people get tossed out. If the Rats do negotiate more people are not allowed in. Either way Trump and the Pubs win. Also, it doesn't hurt Trump with Hispanic Americans or African Americans.

What is there to negotiate?  These are ordered deportations.  Negotiations are give and takes on both sides.  Amnesty can be the only playing piece.  I won't deport if...…………  As far as I am concerned this should be a move he takes regardless of what Democrats think.  There is absolutely nothing to negotiate.  OUT!!  GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Trump has been trying to negotiate for his entire presidency.  Only resulting in the Chuck and Nancy media show that has let everyone know Trump is unable.

Are you familiar with the term "puffing". Realtors and developers do it as a matter of course. Trump is not a career politician. He was a developer. If you understand the culture you will understand his language. He may not be perfect, but give him some credit. He's done more to straighten out trade than any POTUS I can think of. On immigration he has raised the issue to a fever pitch and is pushing for real long term solutions. He hasn't backed off. He's fighting on multiple fronts with very little real support.

I'll vote for this guy next time around and I will contribute to his campaign.

@bilo

Stop it.  You're smarter than that.  You know better than to say stupid stuff like that.

Were that true...there's a lot of people that post here that wouldn't be allowed here.

Think about it.

These are also pawns in a political war.

Trump is using every tool he can to not just get some illegals out, but to fix the problems that let them in. It's not just getting a wall built. It's just as important to change the asylum laws and rules about how they are held, were they held, how long they are held and when they can be sent back.

Trump is a fool. After all this time he still hasn't figured out the the goal of the Democrats is to sabotage anything and everything.

Thinking that Congress will ever in a million years 'come to a solution' is a level of idiocy which I cannot imagine. They're just stalling, delaying, impeding, just like they always do. Damn Trump! What the hell man? Are you really that stupid!?

I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border,'" Trump said on Twitter Saturday. "If not, Deportations start!"...

Whether they come up with a solution isn’t relevant. There are illegals that still need to be deported. Almost sounds like he’s open to amnesty.

Totally agree.

The best tool he could use is to start the deportations.  If they are going to negotiate it won't be until they actually suffer a little.

No it's not. This is also a political war.

It is just as important to show that the deportations were the last thing he wanted to do.

Why would that be the last thing he wants to do?  Are you pro amnesty?  I posted awhile ago in the other thread that I could get on the Trump Train if its going in the right destination.  And the right destination has nothing to do with race or religion.  It has nothing to do with political party or political posturing.  It has to do with following our laws and Constitution.  These people have deportation orders.  That is the law.

You couldn't be more wrong.  These people broke Federal law entering the country illegally...the FIRST thing that should be done is deportation.

And don't give me the "wise to negotiate" BS.  This was Trump's cornerstone platform, and now he's gone all jelly legged on the issue.

Huh?  If this is true, DJT just pulled the biggest ruse in American political history.

This!  This is the truth.  The only negotiating with the socialist communist party under Nancy Pelosi we should be doing is no negotiation.  This is a party who have claimed that only Nazi's would'nt want open borders (AOC).  Start the deportations its the law.  And if Nancy thinks this is cruel then she should want to stop them from going through it by agreeing to border security.

That's ridiculous.

Nancy, Chuck and FRiends would LOVE to have the media grab heart-breaking human stories for the 2020 campaign.

And their philosophy of the State over the individual lets them sleep like babies while the deportations are in swing.

Well if we can't uphold the laws because we are afraid of Democratic ads we are in trouble.  Because no matter what he does there will be commercials and news stories.  They always have a sob story ready.  Like the children that died even though we sent them for medical attention.  We should have ads that counter that showing how they are getting sick sleeping in squalor on the journey Democrats encourage them to take.  Your ridiculous.
