JUST IN: Army to Make Big Changes as it Engages in a 'War for Talent'
6/13/2019
By Yasmin Tadjdeh

The Army is undertaking a major effort to redesign its antiquated personnel system as it engages in a "war for talent," said the secretary of the service June 13.

In the future, “we must make the best use of all of our talent if we are to stay ahead of our very capable adversaries,” said Mark Esper. To that end, the Army is overhauling how it organizes, trains and equips its force.

“The current system — as effective as it has been in the past — simply will not allow us to optimize the potential of our workforce going forward,” he said during remarks at the Women In Defense annual conference in Arlington, Virginia. Women In Defense is an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association.

Potentially good news for our son who the USAF just Permanently DQ'd after stringing him out for nearly 2 years.  They lost his med records twice and waited weeks before notifying him and requesting another copy.  They would stop reviewing records if any problem was found and require the problem fixed before resuming review.

They did this numerous times, causing the process to string out for months.  Why not review the whole damned package first and then request corrections/additional information?   :chairbang:

90th percentile on the ASVAB, wanted into a career field the AF said was "critical" and they DQ him for one-time case of mild eczema and eyelid twitch.

He's started the process to sign up with the Army and their aviation related programs...waiting to see how this goes.
Throwing our allegiances to political parties in the long run gave away our liberty.
