Denver elects an Ocasio-Cortez wannabe to its city council

Is the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez phenomenon spreading through the country?  In Denver, it looks as if the Bronx congresswoman has got an imitator, and not just in the Latina looks department.  We're talking the bad stuff, the Hugo Chávez socialist department.

Jim Hoft at GatewayPundit spotted this one:

    Denver City Council candidate Candi CdeBaca is not shy about her love for communism. No matter how many times it has failed in violence, poverty and mass murder, she’s still a fan. In April Candi promised to push communism “by any means necessary.”

    On June 5th Candi won a seat on the Denver City Council.

There will always be people who want to tell everybody else what they have to do. In my family among mysiblings my older sister was the one. If you didn't do what she wanted, she'd fly into a rage.
Naturally, she is a hard liberal.

It's preying on the desperate by insisting that anything would be better than what they have now. Of course, for the sale to work, they have to make everyone feel like victims.

In DC, I learned how to use policy to protect the most vulnerable while still encouraging innovation and growth.

 

The only innovation and growth communists have ever created have been in the labor camps.

Denver was actually a pretty great place to live until the late 70's. High wages,inexpensive housing and living expenses,and plenty of jobs.

That was when the leftists in Ca got all their dream laws passed in Ca,and could no longer afford to live there because of all the taxes to pay for all the "free stuff" they voted to give to anyone that didn't want to work.

So they moved to Denver,where the economy was booming,and did the same damn fool things all over again. I understand that many have left Denver in the last few years,and have moved to Montana to screw that up,too. Seems these people are incapable of learning from their mistakes.

It’s not just that. As a matter of simple economics it cannot work.  Mises and Hayek were clear on that in the 1920s.
