Mexican military begins arresting migrants riding 'The Beast' train to US border
Washington Examiner, Jun 9, 2019

Mexican military deployed throughout the country as part of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's vow to do more to apprehend migrants headed to the United States, have officially begun targeting foreigners who have hitched rides aboard a freight train known as "The Beast" to get to the U.S.-Mexico border, local media reported Sunday.

Mexican National Guard held up the "La Bestia" train in an unpopulated area near Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, a city north of the Mexico-Guatemala border, where migrants have been crossing into the country.

The operation marked the first of its kind since López Obrador and President Trump reached a deal late Friday, in which the U.S. would hold off on tariffs against Mexican imports if the government did more to prevent people from traveling through the country.

Gee ... sounds like Mexico has things well under control! (The National guard was taken advantage of)... *****rollingeyes*****

"The National Guard was placed on one side, moment that was taken advantage of by more than 200 migrants who got off the train and fled," Nataniel Hernández Núñe, director of the Digna Ochoa Human Rights Center, told El Universal.

Many "hid in the bush, so only 25 were arrested," Hernández said.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey it laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies." -William Page

Good news is when something is actually accomplished ... hey if you want to think that arresting/detaining 25 people out of hundreds of thousands is good news ... well ... stay in your little bubble....

IF the Mexico actually had the ability and wanted to curtail this invasion at the border, they would have already done so!!

Mexico doesn't want to, for a few reasons.  They may find out the hard way they don't have the ability, either.
I will NOT comply.

You would think that just maybe, Trump would have figured this one out by now.

There have been reports and pictures months ago of Mexican police being overwhelmed and unable to control their borders ... but somehow miraculously all of a sudden they are now able to contain the influx ... that's what our President would also have you believe!  The article that I reference below was back in April and talks about 350 migrants.  350!  Yet they were overwhelmed and our President is trying to get you to believe that they are going to retain hundreds of thousands of ILLEGALS on the Mexican side waiting for asylum.  I declare b.s.!!!

Migrants Bust Through Southern Mexico Border, Overwhelm Police as They Head to the U.S.: Report

https://www.newsweek.com/migrants-bust-through-southern-mexico-border-police-en-route-us-report-1395552

Another wave of migrants approaching to the United States made their way through a Mexican checkpoint this weekend. A group of roughly 350 migrants, believed to be mostly from Central American countries, busted locks and overwhelmed Mexican law enforcement, according to an Associated Press report.

The National Immigration Institute said the migrants acted “hostile” and “aggressive,” bullying their way through the checkpoint and also showing that same aggression when “attacking local police” in the village of Metapa de Dominguez, a southern Mexican village that sits on the border with Guatemala. The village is near Tapachula, the first big map dot on the way to the United States.
