Panic at Capital Pride Parade in DC over active shooter scare

Police have arrested one suspect and seized one gun at the Capital Pride Parade in Washington, D.C., after rumors of an active shooter sparked mass panic and people running for cover at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

No shots were fired, but at least 10 people were injured after being trampled in the crowd.

A police officer told the Washington Examiner that two people were fighting in Dupont Circle, and one of the people involved in the altercation showed a gun. When people who had gathered at the scene saw the gun they began to flee.

It was chaos for the first minute (and it almost turned into a stampede with people trying to get through the doors.)
We managed to get into the women’s restroom and hunkered down. Folks were saying there were gunshots, and some began to cry, pray, and reassure each another.

So lets get this straight... a gun was safely kept in a backpack, never brandished, shown or fired, and the result was a berserk stampede and a bunch of crying snowflakes? You probably shouldn’t come to a concealed carry state. You’d be running all day
