You have yet to post anything to back up the claim tariffs caused this in part.  Do you have something? @ABX

I posted several links. I am sorry I couldn't find it in coloring book or school house rocks format for you to make it easier for you to digest.

Maybe you can get someone to explain this article from 1979 to you.

(note, the 'tax' they mention here are energy tariffs and if you read, they actually call for eliminating tariffs and creating a 'tariff free zone' to reverse what Carter did).

It has no relevance to the situation at hand.  Try to keep it 2019.

ABX was asked for references to the Carter Tariffs.  Do you want people to ignore requests for back up to their claims?  What a silly complaint.

Sorry no sale. They did mention dropping existing tariffs with Canada and Mexico as an offset to OPEC price increases but this article in no way backs up your original assertion.

Carter did not impose tariffs on energy.  In no manner, shape or form.

Carter had a disastrous economic policy but it was not due to tariffs.

You are ignorant of what a tariff is.  Energy taxes are not synonymous with tariffs.

No matter how you try to misconstrue, how Carter wrecked the economy cannot be assigned to tariffs.

And you need to comprehend the articles you are posting rather than blathering they support your statements on tariffs imposed by Carter = bad economy.  They do not.

If you are looking for the negative effects of tariffs, you need only go back to the Obama years.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

You've sunk to a new low resorting to a fake news site like Zerohedge for your inflammatory posts, @ABX .

Good God, I am getting sick of this place. Y'all have lost your common sense.

Thank you...I AGREE.
