Ron Howard vows to boycott Georgia If Heartbeat Law Goes Into Effect

"Should this law go into effect in January, we will boycott the state as a production center."

ATLANTA — Ron Howard is the latest Hollywood voice to weigh in on Georgia's new divisive abortion bill.

Earlier this month, Governor Brian Kemp signed into law new restrictive measures on abortion that would slash the window of time to have a legal abortion from 20 weeks to just six. The new timeline is controversial because it is often before a woman even realizes she may be pregnant.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, actor and director Ron Howard and film partner Brian Grazer said their next film - a Netflix project starring Amy Adams - will go on shooting in Georgia later this month. But, it comes with a caveat.

I just heard about this. I heard some good news to in that the netflix boss might not do this immediately in that he is a Republican donor.

Still, it is disappointing that anyone from the old AG show would have this view.

They will stop doing this when it starts costing them money or jobs.

IF he backs out of that deal for that reason, the people of Georgia should DEMAND the state refuse to ever again issue movie permits to him and any company he owns shares in.

The left doesn't care about lost money until it is THEIR lost money. Then they care very deeply.

BTW,lest anyone has the wrong idea here,Howard and his accomplices didn't pick Georgia because they love the state. They picked it to lower production costs and make a larger profit than what they would have made if they had filmed it in California.

As usual,it is all about de benjamins.

What would happen if all those people that believe abortion is murder decided to boycott all of the movies Mr. Howard and the the other like minded baby murders produce? Do they really believe that what they make is so fantastic that no one could resist paying to see it?
Personally I can resist seeing anything in a theater and there by reducing the profit for them by watching it on Amazon or Netflix, liberals aren't the only ones able to boycott.

How dare you try to shame someone, I heard this on a conservative radio program, this is a discussion forum and it got adequate attention. If you believe in censorship, maybe you should move to North Korea or China.  If Opie let's us down, we should know, not be like ostriches with their heads in the sand.

Wow, are YOU off the deep end.  I was talking to Ron Howard & Hollyweirds.....where did I say anything about censorship?
Yes, SHAME on him for supporting abortions. And that these Hollywood people think, we would care.  Like those who claim not to perform, if President TRUMP gets elected.  HOW IS THAT GOING TO HURT US?  It will hurt their pockets.

No thank you, about the move.  I CAME FROM A SOCIALIST COUNTRY TO AMERICA.We were starving. There is censorship when it comes to telling the truth about the black race.  Why is that?  Should those people who do that,  move to North Korea, oe China?

O.P.  were the initials of Ron Howard's character in Mayberry.

A.KA.  ALSO KNOWN AS...

My earlier post;
