Mueller seeks quiet retreat from public life

Robert Mueller made clear this week that he’s no James Comey.

Mueller for two years avoided the spotlight while running one of the most politically charged investigations in history.

On Wednesday, he suddenly appeared on Americans’ television screens — speaking tersely and carefully about the findings of his investigation. After talking for less than 10 minutes, Mueller left the podium, making it clear he didn't want to be back in the spotlight again.


The moment was fitting for the former FBI chief, who has painstakingly sought to maintain his reputation as a just-the-facts, nonpolitical prosecutor amid frequent attacks on his credibility from President Trump and his GOP allies.

In a major contrast with Comey, the former FBI director who is often on social media and has done a number of high-profile interviews, Mueller has resisted being drawn into the raw political fight that has consumed Washington for the past two years.

Liar.  He knew his little speech Wednesday (I think) would lead to a clamoring of Rats wanting more.  He doesn't seek any such thing as a "quiet retreat."

He is one of many so called Republicans, like GHW Bush that voted for Hillary.


Still waiting for the probable cause (or predicate) begining his investigation.

Still wanting to know why he continued, if it was already determined he could not indict a sitting president.

Still wanting to know why it continued for well over a year, after it was determined there was no evidence of collusion.


Still waiting for explanation about possible Russian interference in Hillary's campaign.

Still waiting for Huberr. Horowittz.

Still waiting for even handed "presumption of innocence."

Still waiting to hear from CJ Roberts conceerning apparent lack of care in hiis FISA Courts.

Still waiting for his explanation of the apparent conflict of interest, and political partisanship on his special staff.
