A widely quoted new study, “The Perception Gap,” finds that both Democrats and Republicans imagine that almost twice as many people on the other side hold radical views than actually do. The study is the work of a group called More in Common. Yet even some of its polling questions reproduce the same biases the group decries, framing liberal positions as natural or mainstream and conservative ones as extreme.

Be that as it may, it’s true that news bubbles and social media feeds — which Stephenson envisions will evolve into individualized streams that create millions more unenlightened conspiracy theorists in the future — continue to insulate Americans from constructive debate and understanding. Even so, “The Perception Gap” offers plenty of clues that illustrate how it’s progressives who are creating an irreparable schism in political life.

In Stephenson’s “Fall,” the more educated a person becomes, the better he is at comprehending his compatriots. But according to the “The Perception Gap,” this is a fiction.

While the misperceptions that Republicans harbor about Democrats don’t improve with higher levels of education, the misconceptions Democrats have regarding Republicans only get worse with every additional degree they earn.

“This effect is so strong,” the study’s authors note, “that Democrats without a high-school ­diploma are three times more accurate than those with a postgraduate degree.”

This trend is less surprising when we learn that the more educated Democrats are, the less likely they are to be friendly with anyone who doesn’t share their worldview. Those with a postgraduate degree, in fact, are 50% more likely to say that “almost all” of their friends share their views than Americans with only a high school diploma.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with associating with people who see the world as they do — we have plenty of room in the United States, after all. The problem is that, despite their close-mindedness, these elites are the ones who become the technocrats who write our policies, the politicians who govern us, the teachers who claim to educate us and the activists who attempt to coerce us to adopt their values.

It is the educated elite, people clustered in centers and industries of power — not the populist voters scattered across the country — who are driving our polarization.

It isn’t merely about a disparity in perception, as the study notes, but a fundamental ignorance about the religious and philosophical viewpoints of social conservatives and working-class Americans. This condescension is palpable in the often-oblivious media coverage of Red America, which oscillates in tone from zoological study to outright mockery.

According to “The Perception Gap,” Democrats are slightly more inclined than Republicans to see their countrymen as brainwashed, hateful and racist. My own experience, as a Blue State native who’s spent plenty of time in Red America, is that liberal disdain for the American heartland is unmatched.

China Hacked Clinton’s Email Server, Congressman Confirms

The U.S. intelligence community established that China hacked Hillary Clinton’s unauthorized email server when she served as the secretary of state, according to Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).

In an interview with The Epoch Times published on June 26, Gohmert said that the Chinese “actually hacked Hillary Clinton’s personal server—as our intel community established without any question—even though the FBI refused to ever examine the evidence.

“There’s no question, China was involved,” he added.

Gohmert is the first lawmaker to publicly confirm that China was the foreign actor that hacked Clinton’s server. President Donald Trump is the only other official to have made the same claim.

In July 2018, while questioning former FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok, Gohmert said that a forensic analysis of Clinton’s emails conducted by the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) had determined that a copy of virtually every email from Clinton’s server was sent to an unauthorized source. At the time, Gohmert described the source as “a foreign entity unrelated to Russia” and said that the ICIG could document the forensic analysis.

“But you were given that information and you did nothing with it,” Gohmert told Strzok.

Strzok led the FBI investigation into the mishandling of classified information linked to Clinton’s use of a private email server. Strzok told Gohmert that he remembered meeting with ICIG officials, but couldn’t recall the specifics. Similar to Strzok, several other key FBI officials involved in the email probe told Congress that they didn’t remember hearing about the ICIG’s referral. The pattern of collective amnesia suggests that one or more officials at the FBI ignored or suppressed the lead.

The ICIG didn’t respond to a request for comment.

Whether you believe it to be military comms, a political campaign, a social experiment, a LARP, aliens, Jesus or our time-travelling selves, the Q following has become quite impressive.
2. Personally, I consider that Q has provided ample proof that a WW military operation is well underway.

I am often amazed at Q’s wisdom and sensitivity. At other times, it feels like Q may also be operating outside of time and communicating via patterns and numbers.
3. For some, Q confirms suspicions and offers new leads to explore alongside old ones. For others, it's a conspiracy.

Q certainly encourages personal research and disconnection from corporate media networks – and for good reason!

I enjoy looking at news through the Q filter.
4. Q encourages us to see beyond the MSM propaganda.

I suspect that Q is like an old carrier plane that helped launch space shuttles.

In the context of this #GreatAwakening Q gave us the initial lift-off that launched our space shuttle so we can clearly see our captivity.

5. I also suspect that Q may become redundant fairly quickly (relative to the broader time-frames) once we no longer need that initial push.

NEW THREAT: Antifa Plans Acid Attack on D.C. Free Speech Rally, Promises To Blind Attendees
Attendees at an upcoming free speech rally have been threatened with acid attacks via social media.

A man, possibly a Rolling Stone journalist who writes favorably about Antifa, has threatened to attack attendees of the Demand Free Speech rally with “muriatic acid, wax, and balloons” on July 6 in Washington, D.C.

The threats were made on a popular right wing Telegram channel. A user with the name “POUND ON YOUR BOY” made several threats against the rally, prompting co-organizer Enrique Tarrio to contact the FBI and DHS, who are now planning to provide additional security to the event.

Over the course of about 10 minutes last night, the “POUND ON YOUR BOY” account asked how the D.C. event is “coming along”, and referenced muriatic acid multiple times.

“I just want to toss as many balloons of Muriatic acid in the faces as many Proud Boys I can [sic]”, wrote the user, “I just want to blind as many of you c**k suckers are possible [sic].”
