TECATE —

A federal grand jury has indicted a Tijuana man and his three adult children for allegedly running a smuggling ring that brought hundreds of unauthorized immigrants into the U.S. for nearly a decade, prosecutors said Friday.

According to the indictment, the family-run smuggling organization operated in an area east of the Tecate port of entry, using “an ever-changing cadre of spotters, guides and drivers” to move immigrants across the border at a price of $7,000 to $8,500 per person, federal prosecutors said in a news release.
