Angry Venezuelans wait hours for gas as shortages worsen
By Deisy Buitrago and Corina Pons | Reuters

CARACAS, Venezuela – Angry drivers queued for hours in towns across Venezuela on Friday as fuel shortages worsened in the South American nation following a plunge in gasoline imports and a stoppage at the nation’s second-largest oil refinery.

Shortages of motor fuel have become a periodic occurrence in the OPEC nation, particularly in border regions where smuggling to neighboring countries is rife, the result of generous subsidies from state-run oil company PDVSA that have made gasoline nearly free in Venezuela.

But in recent days lines at gas stations in the western and southern border states of Tachira, Zulia and Bolivar have grown longer than usual, often lasting more than five hours, according to Reuters witnesses.

I lost the video from earlier but I don't think I have ever seen a line of cars waiting to fuel up bigger than what I saw for Venezuela, unreal.

Angry enough to overthrow Maduro, the commie who caused the disaster that IS the "always end result" of communism?  Apparently not.

Hedge Fund Journalism strikes again

Here is what’s happening in the USA that Hedge Fund Media won’t and can’t tell you

the illegal break in at the Venezuelan Embassy in DC and arrest by the US Marshals and Secret Service yesterday, A brazen illegal act..against Geneva Convention, And UN Charters.
The 4 are charged with one Class A misdemeanor - Interfering With a Federal Law Enforcement Agent Engaged in Protective Functions. It carries a maximum penalty of 1 year in jail + $1,000 fine.
The government wanted the judge to restrict their movements to 1000ft. From the Embassy, and she scoffed , saying that was 3 football field and set it at 100 ft. Instead
ordered to stay away from 10 locations owned by the Trump-recognized government of Venezuela as well as representatives and officials from the shadow government.
As a pretext, inclination of how wacky the trial might get, the government prosecutor quoted as saying, "the government recognizes the US government's determination of who is the Venezuelan government."
This is historic..No longer are any countries embassies safe around the world if the USA gets away with this.

Not once the leftists (commies) take over.   Elections are all just for show after that.  Just like they'd have it here, if they could/can.

They had their legislature vote and Guiado is the legitimate president now....interim if that is important.

There may also be technicalities like Maduro is overstaying his term though, I don't think that would be it. There were elections last year I think... but I know for sure, the "Assembly" per the constitution, recognizes Guiado.

So, only through iron-fist means, does Maduro remain in power.

They legitimately voted for Chavez.

They voted for Chavez back in 2000 or whenever and I don't know the platforms under which Chavez ran for president.

A lot of those countries, Mexico included, have their "communist" parties, it becomes just another party in the mix.

And yet, they won’t fully support the opposition or resist Maduro.  What do they really want?

At first, some EU countries did not recognize Guiado but they said "hold legitimate elections", when that wasn't done, they then, recognized Guiado.

So, whatever the deal is, Maduro is not legitimately elected in this phase.

Actually, saying "EU" countries might not even be right, because I think some were not like Sweden, it's hard to keep track of all details... but Venezuela was given a chance at legit elections, did not and now, they recognize Guiado.

They should have known that once a Commie gains power, they never give up power voluntarily.

But I have no idea on what Chavez campaigned on way back then, the way, we didn't know what Fidel really stood for until a year or two into his dictatorship.

I think what has trashed the Venezuelan regime is that it is a criminal regime, not so much because of the communism it placed onto the people, there are a few aspects of all of this. Communist regimes, really any regime with Venezuela's wealth should survive.

Also, if one says, they asked for it, how about if they start pointing missiles at the US? What if they start fomenting revolution across the region? What if they flood other countries and ours is included, with refugees? We have 260,000 and no, we are not going to turn them back, it won't happen.

What if they sell MANPADS to Terrorists. They do in fact, have those. Man Portable Air-Defense Systems?

And all of this doesn't even begin to address drugs coming into the US as well.

I can see where one could say, we don't take care of our own border, so why worry about this other?

I've got to say, we have not intervened militarily and despite the few Hawks who would do this, at this point at least, I think no harm is done in simply trying to put pressure on the regime.  We have no sent soldiers in, I doubt if the blackouts have been our doing in any way.

Whether one likes it or not, we are involved in Colombia per drug interdiction and eradication, big trouble in Venezuela, shedding refugees and the like, destabilizing the region puts that in possible danger.

Sure it is.   Embrace the suck and reality that... whatever victories the commes have in ANY other country will negatively effect us, here in the USA.  To think anything else is equivalent to having your head stuck up/into a really dark, dank place where reality never exists.  JS...
