Alligator Blocks Runway at Air Force Base in Florida
By Stephanie Valera 05.16.2019 :: 1:17PM EDT

Staff at a U.S. Air Force base in Florida had to bring in a front-end loader to remove a “friendly” alligator that was preparing for his own takeoff on the runway.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the MacDill Air Force Base shared a photo of the alligator “lounging” on the runway.

“Your friendly, #TeamMacDill gator – preparing for take-off. #FuelTheFight #FloridaMan (Don’t worry, he was safely escorted off the flight line),” they posted.
