The British Council has said it believes one of its Iranian employees, Aras Amiri, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in Iran for spying.

Sir CiarĂ¡n Devane, chief executive of the UK cultural organisation, said he was dismayed by the reported sentence and was "profoundly concerned for Aras' safety and wellbeing".

"We firmly refute the accusation levied against her," he added.

You know, we and the Brits have lots of spies that I'm not sure how to take these accusations. She does look so innocent.

Not just us and the Brits, the Russians, Chinese, Israelis all surely have a load of spies, Iran too at that.

And as I've said, you probably have a lot of spies from other countries, Canada would have no spies? I don't think so, even they probably have a few.
