‘Law & Order: SVU’ Slams Covington Catholic Kids, Defends Ilhan Omar Character
By Lindsay Kornick | May 10, 2019 12:32 AM EDT

NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is really stretching that “ripped from the headlines” mindset with its latest episode. Not only does SVU maintain the media lie about the Covington Catholic kids (this time with Jewish students), the show also manages to play defense for Rep. Ilhan Omar (with a Muslim councilwoman standing in for "Native American elder" Nathan Phillips). Who knew you could fit so much intersectional dishonesty into one hour?

The May 9 episode “Assumptions” opens with two Jewish teenage boys running from a vandalized synagogue where we find Muslim Councilwoman Nahla Nasar (Nazneen Contractor) has been raped. Since one of the teens, named Ari (Ted Sutherland), wore a red cap, a narrative quickly forms, especially when Nasar points him out in a lineup. “This boy grabbed my hijab and spat in my face,” she says. “These people are Islamophobes. It's in their blood. One of these boys must have raped me.”

People are surprised by this from the L&O "franchise"?

Hell, they've been painting conservatives as lunatics for years in all of their shows.
Throwing our allegiances to political parties in the long run gave away our liberty.

I haven't watched a Law and Order episode of any kind in years.  They went political and I tuned out.

Same here. Used to record each episode to make sure I didn't miss it,and now it has been so long since I watched it that I can't even remember which channel it comes on.

SVU seems to be particularly focused on Muslims lately.   I guess the rest of us don't get assaulted or killed.  Too bad because from around Season 12 on, the quality of the episodes, which had become stale, seemed to improve.

All of the Law & Order series have always had a liberal bend -- except perhaps the original Law & Order during the period that Fred Dalton Thompson played the District Attorney.  But what do we expect of tv in general since the radical socialist liberals have dominated?  Very few series show any hint of conservative values.  Usually, they portray conservatives as racist, homophobic or garden variety nutcases.

I guess that is part of the reason why I don't watch most of the current series and look for old shows on Netflix or elsewhere.  I don't particularly like being indoctrinated by my entertainment.

That is a Dick Wolfe production right.   He is a rabid leftist liberal and SJW and his taint is all over the franchise.
