Air Force Research Laboratory is looking for 'risky solutions'

(Tribune News Service) — Innovative small businesses are finding it easier to get past the fence surrounding Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, say those charged with connecting the Air Force to those businesses.
Air Force Research Laboratory business advocates say they've finally created a path to let businesses either offer their ideas or tap into AFRL's technologies – and Dayton is reaping the benefits.
In fact, Dayton businesses are AFRL's 4th largest recipient of SBIR/STTR (small business innovation research/small business technology transfer) awards in the U.S.
