Judiciary Republican: Nadler 'only person trying to spin' Mueller report
By Tal Axelrod - 04/18/19 09:12 AM EDT

Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, blasted the panel’s chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) over his criticism of the rollout for special counsel Robert Mueller’s report.

Nadler and other top Democrats have excoriated Attorney General William Barr over his intention to hold a 9:30 a.m. press conference, saying he hopes to spin the report before Congress will receive a redacted version of Mueller’s final conclusions between 11 a.m. and noon Thursday.

“The only person trying to spin the report is [Jerry Nadler]," Collins tweeted Wednesday. "The [Attorney General] has done nothing unilaterally. After partnering with [Deputy Attorney General Rod] Rosenstein to share principal conclusions, Barr is releasing the report voluntarily, working with Mueller’s team step by step."

“Confused about why the chairman of the committee with jurisdiction over constitutional rights thinks the First Amendment doesn’t apply to Bill Barr?” he asked in a second tweet.

Collins needs to tune into CNN and MSNBC to see droves of people spinning.
