Woman who assaulted Kellyanne Conway skates

Prosecutors in Montgomery County, Maryland — the bastion of leftism and Trump hatred I call home — have dismissed charges against the woman who assaulted Kellyanne Conway in a restaurant where Conway was celebrating her birthday. The woman, Mary Elizabeth Inabinett, age 63, grabbed Conway from behind and shook her.

That’s clearly a misdemeanor assault. So why have charges against the assailant been dropped?

Prosecutors say that even if they could prove their case, Inabinett would not deserve the type of punishment that might flow from a conviction. There’s no legitimate question that prosecutors could prove their case. Inabinett certainly committed an assault when she grabbed Conway and shook her. Indeed, she has apologized for doing so.

This sentence takes today's prize for being totally devoid of even a scintilla of logic. Congratulations, Montgomery County 'prosecutors'. I hope I never find myself being processed by your judicial system.

There literally was no minimum punishment prescribed by law.  They could have fined the old broad $50, and that would have been it.

They deliberately sent a message that assaults on people in the Trump Administration will not be punished

Civil rights violation IMO.

Conservative types need to learn how to sue, use the left's own standards against them.

She may have apologized... but don't doubt that she is bragging about it to her leftie friends.  Letting her get away with it will only encourage her and more lefties to do the same thing.... again and again.

"conservatives" are not a listed, specific "protected" group, such as blacks, women, disabled, etc.

The article points out the "Comey" H. Clinton logic, which is the FBI, once most talented Law enforcement org. in the world, cannot make a case that could win.
