Taliban leaders and fighters arrested after returning to Kandahar from Pakistan - The Khaama Press News Agency



A group of 19 Taliban militants including three leaders were arrested in Kandahar province shortly after returning from Pakistan.

The Afghan Intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Taliban leaders Noorullah alias Abu Zahr, Fateh son of Mohammad Ishaq, and Hamidullah alias Saqib, the commander of the Red Unit of Taliban in Zabul province were arrested in Kandahar soon after they returned from Pakistan.

According to a statement released by NDS, Noorullah and Fateh were each in charge of groups of 40 militants and were involved in destructive and terrorist related activities in Kandahar, Zabul and Logar provinces.
