Former Auburn coach to run for Senate in Alabama

By John Bowden - 04/06/19 04:21 PM EDT

Former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville is reportedly planning a Senate run in Alabama.

Tuberville said Saturday on Twitter that he will challenge Sen. Doug Jones (D-Ala.), who took office last year after defeating former Alabama chief justice Roy Moore.

Jones won after Moore was accused of sexually assaulting several women, according to sources close to the coach.

In 2003, Coach Tuberville forgot the 11th Commandment:

Thou shall not get thy butts whipped by a bunch of California pretty boys on national TV.

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-
