Conservative commentator Ann Coulter took a victory lap on Twitter, claiming that she was right that President Trump would not hold true to his threat to shut down the border to force dramatic immigration reform by Congress.

"HEY! Who bet me that @realDonaldTrump was actually going to 'close the border'?" Coulter tweeted.

Not a fan of Coulter's, but she was right.  I don't see it as a victory, I see it as a loss for America.

Well, that's probably due to his middle-aged trauma.... since he used to be quite a hunk/catch (rich, attractive, famous (or infamous).... and 'used to be' well liked by most New Yorkers.  A lot has changed to compensate for... ?

Yep... Every 4 years Ann goes into her cycle... Act conservative... see which candidate looks like they are gonna win... forget her principles and switch to the leader... hawk everyone get on board or else they are a whatever... become despaired that XX doesn't act conservative... go back to acting like a principled conservative again... Rinse and repeat....

In this case she happens to be correct. How she behaves is irrelevant to the fact that Trump needs to stop promising what he has already been told is not advisable and he knows he won't do. It's not out of line to wonder if what was said about him during the campaign is true. That being that he has no core principles and while he may love America he realized what people were upset about and parlayed that into a victory. Now when it's been time to deliver for 2 1/2 he's falling far short on those goals. I've seen the list of accomplishments that gets circulated around the net and most of them have no effect on most people. The tax cut? What tax cut? I bet most would give back that trickle in a heartbeat in return for a closed border.
