Kelly Stafford, Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford's wife, has a brain tumor

The wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford said Wednesday on Instagram that she's planning to undergo surgery for a recently diagnosed brain tumor.

Kelly Stafford wrote in a post that she experienced several bouts of vertigo beginning in January and that, at the recommendation of a Lions team doctor, had an MRI on her brain.

The test showed that she had an acoustic neuroma, or a benign tumor, resting on her cranial nerves.

She was born in Stevenage England, I was not aware of who he was married to. So, wishing her a full and speedy recovery.

My cousin had a benign brain tumor several years ago. He was in the middle of taping a TV show when he stopped speaking and just stared, as if he was having some sort of seizure. The surgery was very delicate, but he's okay today. All the best to her.
