WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday called on Russia to pull its troops from Venezuela and warned that “all options” were open to make that happen.

“Russia has to get out,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, where he met with Fabiana Rosales, the wife of Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido.

Two Russian air force planes landed outside Caracas on Saturday carrying nearly 100 Russian troops. The U.S. government believes the troops include special forces and cybersecurity personnel.

I don't see what we can do. I heard one commentator say he is surprised the Russians did not send troops earlier.

There is a lot of wealth tied into Venezuela. We may be able to isolate them more and more.

An air and naval blockade is no longer excessive.
Brazil and Columbia should be very cooperative.

An immediate strong show of force will prevent any further intrusions.
If this is allowed to fester it will erupt into a much larger conflict.

Russia says it sent 'specialists' to Venezuela, rebuffs Trump

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia said on Thursday it had sent "specialists" to Venezuela under a military cooperation deal but said they posed no threat to regional stability, brushing aside a call from U.S. President Donald Trump to remove all military personnel from the country.

I disagree.  Circle gets the square.
