Obama sings ‘Happy Birthday’ to Pelosi as she turns 79

Former President Barack Obama sang “Happy Birthday†to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a meet-and-greet with freshman Democratic lawmakers.
Obama met with the new members at a reception Monday hosted by Pelosi at the House of Esther Coopersmith, who served as a representative to the United Nations during the Carter administration and is well-known for hosting politicos at her Washington home.
The former president brought flowers for Pelosi, who turned 79 Tuesday, and led the Democrats in a round of “Happy Birthday,†according to Politico.
“And the reason I love Nancy is because she combines a deep belief in making this country more just and more fair and better for our kids, with a toughness that is frankly unmet,†Obama said. “She knows to fight for her principles, but she also knows the importance of just getting stuff done.â€
