BlazeTV: Pro-Trump echo chamber and home of faux conservatives

by David Leach • March 20, 2019

A few weeks ago, I wrote an article about how faux conservative Trumpists were a direct result of the faux conservative media.

Choosing the wide gate of compromise over the narrow gate of conviction, clickservatives in the faux conservative media have succeeded in spreading the lie that Trumpservatism equals conservatism while using conservative values as a commodity to be bartered for a seat at Trump’s table.

In the piece I mentioned above, I showed how the formerly conservative voices of Mark Levin and Glenn Beck were using their new BlazeTV partnership as a pro-Trump echo chamber and how they were using this fact as a marketing tool to find new subscribers.

Proof of the depths BlazeTV is apparently willing to go with its sycophancy was evident in a recent episode of the Glenn Beck Show when he participated in a discussion with Pat and Stu on the decline of manhood and declared that Donald Trump is the last male role model left in America.

Good tactic:  Brand anybody who supports the current President as a "Faux Conservative."

Ah, conservative NeverTrumpers. Their tender virtues, so much more important than the threats facing America from encroaching democratic socialism. Trump tweets insults! Socialism only enslaves.

Remember how they squealed when accused of defacto support of Hillary.

Levin, Limbo and Hannity support this President.

At least 80-90% of conservatives/Republicans support this President.

I support this President.

In NO WAY is this site, representative of conservatives or Republicans.

Do you remember when conservatives said that Clinton's adulterous sex life was off-limits? Neither do I. Trump's had a pretty Stormy past in that regard.

@truth_seeker

Is there a reason we're supposed to care what Hannity, Limbaugh and Levin think?  In the past, when leftists accused the right of getting our thinking from talk radio, I used to reply that the talkers mirror what WE think.  Were the leftists right...?

What percentage of full-throated, ask-no-questions-give-no-criticism support would you mandate, if you could?  The same you cited up there---80-90%?  Or some other percentage?

When I came here, I remember being told this was a Republican site.  In fact that seemed to be the case---conservatives predominated, but there were Rs who were more moderate, as well.  I considered that a good thing because, like I heard here at that time, it's good to be able to defend your beliefs to others rather than exist in a bubble.  Do you prefer total Trumpist groupthink?

They're still kicking people out at TOS for going against the hive mind.  I don't know why anyone would want that here.

I say this to Beto fans, Trump fans, all fans of politicians: it is un-American, ridiculous, and dangerous to be a fan of a politician. They aren't pop stars. Support them if you agree with their policies. Criticize them when they go wrong. They are servants, not celebrities. —— Matt Walsh

Nothing "ripping" about my factual observations over 10 years.

Why not prove me wrong? It can't be done, since the membership is self-selected to be "not representative."

Funny that I don't know a single one IRL...  Conservatives supporting this president, I mean...

I know plenty of feckless Republicans that do...

Then according to your hyperbole, 90% of Republicans are feckless. Because that’s the percentage of Republicans surveyed who support Donald Trump. Among the highest support for a republican president within the party.

Why not answer the questions I asked you?

According to the principles of Conservatism, which Republicans purport to endorse and support, yes, that would be a true statement.

You really don't want to have that argument with me.

Principled Conservatism evolved from the Natural Law, as an attitude about governance.
It is some 3000 years old, born in Ancient Greece, as Russell Kirk pointed out in his work
for Heritage, and has absolutely nothing to do w/republican politics and never had!
