College admissions scandal: Now we know for sure that elites do not know the difference between right and wrong
By Patricia McCarthy

We are all suddenly privy to how the rich operate thanks to the breaking news of the widespread cheating by very, very wealthy people, some of them Hollywood celebrities, to get their children into the best colleges, not on merit, but by bribery.  Most people have long known that the political elite pulled strings to get sub-par students into good schools; the Kennedy family comes to mind.  So do the Gore family and the rest of the self-appointed best.

Those folks take their privilege for granted.  They can pull those strings because they are entitled by virtue of their positions.  And probably sixty percent of those who reach those levels of power got there by similar means: nepotism, money, the social connections made while at Ivy League universities, and incumbency.

It's not really their fault, though.  The wealthier a person gets, the more that nasty virus gets, affluenza,  the less they see a difference between right and wrong. :wtf:

Yeah, I don't know about this.  Certainly some nouveau-elites don't know the difference between right and wrong and are desperate to climb the social ladder, and undoubtedly some long-time elites don't either, but this one scandal proves little.  Let's not condemn a whole group of people based on one event.

Careers in Academia are Publish or Die, which is why so much wrong, slanted, or lying pops up in so many papers.

No need to pretend to be surprised.

No grant money anymore and you are no use to your University.

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Anyone surprised by this, is either in a coma or beyond stupid.
We moderns, believing money to be a measure of success and
value, are addicted to materialism; a reality prevalent in our
attitude, behavior, impulses and sentiments.
The assholery embedded in DC is testament to that reality.
