WARNING:

Venezuela was my home, and socialism destroyed it. Slowly, it will destroy America, too.

American liberals embrace same failed policies

Though so many of us Venezuelans fled to the USA to escape from the destructive consequences of socialism, liberal politicians like Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Rep. José Serrano, D-N.Y., have praised the same kind of policies that produced famine, mass exodus and soaring inflation in Venezuela.

Even worse, in recent weeks, Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar, Ro Khanna and Tulsi Gabbard have mischaracterized the protests against Maduro and condemned President Donald Trump’s widely supported moves to help end Maduro’s dictatorship.

Additionally, many congressional Democrats support Medicare for All and the Green New Deal, proposals that would nationalize the health insurance industry, guarantee everyone who wants it a job and massively raise taxes, increasing government intervention in the economy like few countries except Cuba and Venezuela have seen before. Proponents think that they can give all Americans quality health care, housing and everything for free and that somehow, politicians can do a better job at running a business than the business owners themselves.

These proposals would skyrocket the budget deficit and national debt, which just reached a record $22 trillion. If that is not enough, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez endorsed paying for the proposal by asking the Federal Reserve to print money. This is exactly what produced Venezuela’s nightmare.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

Print money?

Well, it's been done elsewhere.....

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Ever try explaining this to a liberal? It's next to impossible. The liberal mind is driven by emotion. It seems so nice that everyone gets what they want and someone else pays for it. They don't "feel" the unintended consequences because those are only recognized by rational step by step critical thinking.

Socialism always fails and always will. Why in the world would I work so hard, take risks and deny gratification, to have the hoped for profit taken from me. I don't care what people think about how I used the money I've earned. It is mine to do with as I please.

There is a divide in the Democratic Congress.  People like Nancy dream of National healthcare but are well aware of how socialized healthcare is bankrupting California.  Within the Democratic "new" Democrats are the Socialist/Communist faction.  People like Nancy cannot restrain this push for absolute government control over the people.  What they eat, their health.  Housing and how much of your check you are allowed to keep.  Because all the stuff they want to implement has to be paid for by the people.   They are leading us down a path to a Venezuelan like government.  We will be waiting in line soon for bread and milk.

This is where the new liberal party wants to take America.  Venezuela in images:

I know a liberal who advocates that we should continue to allow Maduro to finish off Venezuela.  Its liberal outrage against the right thing to do.  Its hard to understand how a person could be so wrong.

I found this article to be a warning.  We are at that time where our Congress is filled with people who want to undermine the American Republic.  To force us into the same kind of government policies that have created hell on earth for Venezuela.

Democrats

by Barry Hermanson

In May of last year, I wrote an article entitled. “Nancy Pelosi opposes universal healthcare,” at https://sfbayview.com/2018/05/nancy-pelosi-opposes-universal-healthcare/.

Democratic Party leaders in Washington and Sacramento prioritize profit in healthcare over the needs of patients. Campaign donations from the for-profit industry keep us tied to a healthcare system that is rationed on your ability to pay for private insurance, co-pays and deductibles. After many years, I’ve come to believe that the leadership of the Democratic Party is the obstacle to achieving universal healthcare.

Nancy Pelosi favors incremental improvements to the Unaffordable Care Act (UCA) instead of advocating for an Improved Medicare for All.

I didn’t sleep well Thursday night, Feb. 21. Friday, the 22nd, was the last day for legislation to be introduced in the California legislature.

I am a member of a statewide coalition formed to advocate for an Improved Medicare for All, HealthyCA.org. “Healthy California is a campaign comprised of organizations representing over 6 million Californians committed to guaranteeing healthcare for the residents of our state. Our goal is to win Improved Medicare for All in California.”

I am not a spokesperson for the HealthyCA.org campaign. The views expressed in this column are mine.

Throughout the fall and winter of last year, a key coalition partner worked to craft legislation and find an author. We were repeatedly told: “There will be a bill.”

“Healthy California is a campaign comprised of organizations representing over 6 million Californians committed to guaranteeing healthcare for the residents of our state. Our goal is to win Improved Medicare for All in California.”

...and to think that the GOP had a full majority for 4 years.   What a waste of time and votes!

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
