'My heart hurt so bad': Waitress' Facebook post saves children from allegedly abusive parents

WCVB Updated: 1:51 PM EST Mar 8, 2019

PADUCAH, Ky. (Video from WPSD) —

A waitress took action after noticing a family behaving strangely, saving the children from their allegedly abusive parents.

Jordan Cooper told WPSD she works weekends at Olive Garden, but cares for her children during the week.

Recently, she and her co-workers noticed something odd about a family they seated. She was serving a table with two parents and two children. One of the children was only a year old.

"When I walked around to the baby, she looked at me with a face that said, 'Help,' like beat up...like I can't even describe to you how bad she looked," she said.

Cooper told Yahoo Lifestyle that the baby had "a lot of black-and-blue bruises," and that she saw the man "shoving" breadsticks into the child's mouth.

... Cooper said she attempted to intervene when the man took a third trip to the men’s restroom with the baby – sans diaper bag – but the family quickly requested the check and scuttled out of the Olive Garden.

“They drove away so fast, the mom didn’t even strap the baby into her car seat,” the server said.

Fortunately, Cooper had written down their car's license plate number and gathered photos that her colleagues had surreptitiously taken of the foursome while they were in the restaurant, equipping her with valuable information as she called 911. ...

Later that night, the two suspects were arrested at their home after a welfare check.

“There’s a lot of times we don’t find people like this,” Caldwell told WPSD of the news.

“I heard the conditions of the home were so horrific, a police officer had to collect himself outside,” Cooper said, as per Yahoo.  ...

These people ought to be sterilized, willing... or not.

And yes, I realize there are implications to that... and I don't care about that.

Sterilize 'em!
