Sherrod Brown won't run for President in 2020

Senator Sherrod Brown, the populist Ohio Democrat known for extolling the “dignity of work,” announced Thursday that he would not seek the Democratic nomination for president.

Mr. Brown ultimately resolved that he was content in the Senate and lacked the consuming drive to become president. And there were obvious practical obstacles to the 2020 nomination for a 66-year-old white man with a mix of liberal and moderate views and a relatively modest donor base.

Sherrod Brown decides he would prefer if everyone doesn't learn about the spousal abuse allegations made against him during his divorce. #MeToo

RRH Elections @RRHElections

Plus there are several women running for President, and Brown's only used to beating one woman at a time.

Replying to @RRHElections @ABPatriotWriter

He does beat his wife, so you are right about that. Dems have a wife beater in Ohio and a pedophile up in New Jersey.

He could probably have bought his ex-wife's silence, but his slim chance to win made it a poor investment...

Who?
Very liberal U.S. Senator from Ohio with an annoying scratchy voice who never seems to comb his hair. (So I'm petty, sue me). In the pocket of big labor. Married to columnist Connie Schultz.

I am so disappointed.  He was such a statesman.

I know the name because I follow politics, but I would venture a guess that asking 100 people on the street, and less than 2% would know who he is.  So hey, a Democommie that actually has a partially functioning brain.  Who knew?
