Prayers and good thoughts, I went through major cervical surgery, four disks removed and replaced so I know what he will be going through. The worst was after being intubated for so many hours it takes a long time to be able to swallow normally and being in a neck brace for two months sucks, even worse is if you have to wear a magnet for hours and hours a day like I did to promote the 'donor',cadaver, bone they used to replace the disks.

I felt pretty good the day after but have since slid down the pain measure.  Two vertebrae taken out, two others fused.  I'm not in horrible pain but am certainly aware something happened.  I had to spend the night in the hospital while the incised area drained - some of it on the bed, of course.
