Trump to visit Alabama following deadly tornadoes

President Trump will travel to Alabama on Friday to tour damage from a string of deadly tornadoes that devastated the state.
“It's been a tragic situation and but a lot of good work is being done,†Trump said at a White House event.
The president did not provide further details about his visit, but said he would be meeting with Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey (R). He said the governor has been in “constant touch†with the administration about the disaster response.
Twenty three people were killed last weekend when a pair of tornadoes ripped through Lee County in the eastern part of the state. Three children ages 6, 9 and 10 were among those killed in the deadliest U.S. tornado since 2013.
