Global Warming
"Last but not least, I was a Republican, a Reagan Republican. Still am. Not a Tea Party Republican. Not a Breitbart Republican. Not a talk radio or Fox News Republican. Not an isolationist, protectionist, immigrant-bashing, scapegoating, get-nothing-useful-done Republican. Not, as I am often dismissed by self-declared "real" conservatives, a RINO, Republican in Name Only. I'm a Reagan Republican, a proponent of lower taxes, less government, free markets, free trade, defense readiness, and democratic internationalism."

Global Warming
Warmists I converse with on public forums actually utter that. Yes, they actually spout that "climate change" i.e. global warming is causing extreme cold weather.
Here in Wisconsin some nut starting a new organization to fight "climate change" actually said the bitter cold weather we got in Wisconsin this winter was caused by "climate change."
Yeah sure, like we never got bitter cold weather in Wisconsin before.    These nuts swallow the warmist pap hook, line, and sinker.
If climate change explains everything, it doesn't explain anything.

The upside is there is trace snow on the ground, so this weeks cold should whack a lot of bugs.

Great. That just means March will go out like a lamb.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Maybe. I plan on making grilled chops, when I can stand on the deck for more than a few minutes.

I'm am more southern than most of the people on this board and I can tell you it is cold as hell down here. Supposed to get down to 27 tonight and that is without wind chill.

Haven't been keeping track of it, but as far as I know today is the coldest day we have experienced this year.

Going to be single digits here for overnight lows the next few days.  Definitely unseasonal.

But rumor has it that by this weekend, it will be in the 50s.  So I guess I can forgive Punxsutawney Phil.

One of my friends told me that the reason I didn't believe that Global Warming causes colder temps was because I was "ignorant".
I told them my brother said the same thing when I told him that we went to the moon.
Hahahahaha....No seriously. Who is the President?

When it’s grilled Mediterranean style, with lots of garlic and rosemary, that’s one of my favorites. If you’re ever in a carnivore mood and don’t feel like cooking, try a Brazilian barbecue place. Their lamb is really good.

I love trying new cuisine and especially bbq.  Don't know of any close by, but will check.

They're calling for it to get down into the 50's tonight.

Won't even see 80 again until the weekend.

Damn Boy!! It is freakin' cold outside. I even saw homeless people, mostly bums, on the street today.
Where are they? How do they live? Does alcohol and meth really make some kind of human antifreeze?

We're going to get above 50 next Wednesday, 80 sometime around May.

And then over 100 in July/August most likely.  But only for two or three weeks.

Last time it (on record) it was 100 in Tampa?  Never.

If climate change explains everything, it doesn't explain anything.
When it became apparent that there was no actual  "global warming," that we've been having some horrendously cold weather, as a matter of fact, they changed their tune. Now, according to them, it's the extremes in temperatures - very cold, very hot, very windy, etc. - that are evidence of "climate change" (global warming terminology having been discarded). None of this establishes that human activity had one bit of influence on the climate, mind you, but it's what keeps the true believers going.

If man-made climate change is causing temperature extremes, you'd think the highest and lowest temperatures would be happening now. According to my local TV weatherman, however, sometimes the coldest or hottest date on record is over 100 years ago.  :pondering:
I have decided to officially and formally not apologize. I'm not sorry at all, even slightly.

Indeed, I especially want to convey my absence of remorse to anyone who was offended by what I said. If you are the sort of person who gets twisted into knots when someone articulates a point of view that differs from your own, then you are exactly the sort of person who should never receive an apology for a differing point of view — if I were offering one, which, again, I'm not.
