Are the Dems Committing Suicide?

Back in 1983, the British Labour Party, traumatized by Margaret Thatcher, contested a general election on a distinctly anti-American platform calling for unilateral disarmament, stepped up socialism, and other crazy ideas that the British press called the longest suicide note any political party had ever proposed. (They also couldn’t help themselves by embracing a offensive slogan about Thatcher, “Ditch the bitch!”) Thatcher crushed Labour, in one of the largest landslides in British history. Of course, that was then, and nowadays Labour said, “hold my beer,” and summoned up Jeremy Corbyn.

In any case, the media is starting to get alarmed that the Democratic presidential field is lurching too far to the left, and may be assuring Trump’s re-election. Jennifer Rubin worries:

    Democrats also give Trump the upper hand when they are willing accept the role he’s designated for them: Socialists. We’ve already heard his Green New Deal attack. Socialists want to take away your car and outlaw cows (or the reverse)!

    Likewise, if you promise to take away private health insurance, Trump would be delighted to run on “Democrats say you can’t keep your doctor.”

    It would be a particularly egregious error for Democrats to identify with proposals that are non-starters (Abolish ICE! Reparations!). It’s an unforced error with no upside. If you have to go so far out on the left-wing to attract support, chances are you’re not making the case effectively to an electoral majority.

A party that embraces infanticide. What could possibly go wrong in their prospects for regaining the full congress? Something here about never interfering with opponents who are digging themselves a deeper hole.

Yup, my whole life I've watched in wonder and amaze.

Asking myself, And people are really falling for this?

It is a fact that it is impossible for a communist to get elected in a free election if he or she runs as a communist. That's why they always lie. The lie with a clear conscience because at heart they are Ego Monsters who are just soooo much smarter than the rest of us they feel like they HAVE to lie because we are just too damn stupid to appreciate the "gifts" they are bringing us.

We currently have a Party in power which openly supports and even 'advocates' infanticide. So, we have a political Party in power which says that it is legal to kill a living person if that person fits into a certain defined category.

Today the category is being an infant. What happens when that category is expanded? Which it inevitable will be.
Next, it is OK to kill the terminally ill. Then, the very old. Then, who knows what? Pandora's box is already open.

Shall we kill political prisoners, or those who disagree? Shall we kill Jews or Christians or what?
Once the door is open and abject murder of an innocent person becomes 'acceptable', under any conditions, then we all become at risk. A born living breathing infant is no less a person than any one of us. Why can the State kill them, and not us?
