Adam Schiff threatens to bring in Robert Mueller for testimony if Russia report doesn't go public

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff says his panel plans to bring in special counsel Robert Mueller to testify on the Russia investigation if the Justice Department does not release his entire report to the public.

“We will obviously subpoena the report. We will bring Bob Mueller in to testify before Congress. We take it to court if necessary,” the California Democrat said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday when asked about about transparency of any underlying evidence if someone has not been prosecuted.

Attorney General William Barr assured Democrats in his confirmation hearing that he would make as much of Mueller’s report public as possible. However, as "This Week" host George Stephanopoulos mentioned, officials have said that Justice Department regulations do not require the release of underlying evidence.

Schiff said the Justice Department has already “violated” that policy in the last two years.

Schiff stated the facts of what his committee can do.  I don't call that a "threat"; headline is wrong.
Trump has turned the government upside down with what he has done, using executive power/declaring a national emergency, so this is no big deal.

Adam Schiff should worry about his own collusion

President Trump’s chief antagonist California Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff is so desperate to find any shred of evidence to validate Democrats “red scare” conspiracy theories that his 2016 campaign colluded with Russia during the last presidential election that he is now threatening legal action against special counsel Bob Mueller.

It’s a move he could later regret.  ...

What the Department of Justice may discover is that many high ranking Democrats, including Schiff, who curiously met with Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson in Aspen, Colo., in July 2016, and also tried to block the release of Fusion’s financial records to Congress, are co-conspirators themselves alongside high-ranking FBI agents and other deep state actors who manufactured the whole Russian hoax to get Trump.

Bottom line: If Barr does his job, he’ll redirect the Russian “collusion” investigation to where it really belongs — onto Hillary Clinton and Democrats lap.
