She is still defending her opinion and what she claims was a victory.

But New York’s Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is simultaneously taking fire for those very things.

The hits have come following Ocasio-Cortez celebrating the news that the business giant Amazon was pulling out of a deal to set up shop in New York. The sudden reversal cost the city thousands of jobs and billions in future revenue, but Ocasio-Cortez billed it as a win for the common citizen.

Her nonsense needs to be exposed to a larger population outside the left wing bubble. My only criticism of the sign is they should have spelled out her name instead of just her initials

I think people underestimate the value of publicity.

"All publicity is good publicity." is a very true statement. Not everybody is going to see that sign and process it the same way you do.

In the AOC bubble, of course, they celebrate that and those people will see that sign and cheer that. I agree with that. But outside in the real world that don’t fly. Imagine governor running on a record of job loss and revenue loss for their state.

Bravo to those who put that sign up.  That’s the kind of stuff conservatives should be going after her for and tying her to the Democratic Party.  Not her clothes or her  living arrangements

Casual voters don't know what to think a lot of the time because both extremes are so hell bent on destroying the other that they'll gladly bend reality and molest context in attempts to make the other look bad. The extreme left and right don't have a lot of credibility with everybody else I think, so a lot of people will look at that and not get anything more than "Oh, that person exists and somebody really doesn't like her."

Agreed,  @Dexter.  And this is most excellent publicity.    But the subject, and the point, isn't AOC.  It's socialism.   If the Republicans can turn 2020 into a referendum on job-killing, authoritarian, brain-dead socialism, by golly they can win.

But I’m safe in saying that most people do like good paying jobs and having more money in their paychecks.  They are also not keen on paying more into an expanding welfare state
