Lifeless 12-Year-Old Migrant Rescued from Texas Border River

19 Feb 2019280

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents saved the life of a 12-year-old boy who nearly drowned while crossing the Rio Grande from Mexico into South Texas. The agents pulled the boy’s lifeless body from underwater and revived him.

Marine unit agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station noticed a group of migrants having difficulty navigating a river crossing from Piedras Negras, Coahuila, to Eagle Pass, Texas, on February 18. As the agents moved their boat into position to rescue the group, they observed the young boy’s lifeless body just below the surface of the water, according to Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials.

I'm amazed that they saw him at all.  The Rio Grande is super muddy.  The old timers used to say that the Rio Grande is too think to drink and too thin to plow.

The Red River between Texas and Oklahoma, is totally red. We go across that river every time we go to a casino which is usually once a week.  You can't see anything but solid red when you cross it.  Lucky for that boy he was not in the Red River.

Shouldn't the headline read 'recovered', you don't rescue a corpse, you recover a body. Anyway, Trumps fault.

When they said lifeless, they meant unconscious.

See? If they were slapped until they were lifeless, it'd be murder, unconscious, it;s be assault.

Sloppy thesaurus work. I bet they are anti semantic.

They said that about the Platte, too.

Just beneath the surface, would make for a patch a different color as long as his clothing didn't match the color of the water exactly. Lucky kid. Good eye on the part of the agents.
