Governor Ron DeSantis announced the “Deregathon” event that would be taking place with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation Secretary Halsey Beshears at Valencia College in Orlando.

The “Deregathon” took place on Thursday, and it was in collaboration with Florida’s Professional Licensing Boards. The goal of which being to find solutions to the harmful regulations that Floridians are currently facing, and the ultimate goal is to strengthen the sunshine state’s economy.

Speaking on the event’s purpose, DeSantis informed that he’s “working hard to reduce barriers to opportunity for the people of Florida.” “Florida needs a licensure system that protects consumers but doesn’t put up roadblocks for people to succeed. Bold and appropriate deregulation will continue to be a top priority of my administration and we’re looking forward to getting the job done to open new opportunities for Floridians.”
