Hoyer: ICE Is ‘An Absolutely Essential Agency’

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,†House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) criticized calls to abolish ICE and stated that the organization is an “absolutely†necessary one.
Hoyer said, “Some suggested eliminating ICE as an organization. I was not for that. The speaker was not for that. Clearly, we’re going to have immigrants. We’re going to have customs. We need enforcement.â€
He added, “It’s like the IRS. It’s an absolutely essential agency, as IRS is an essential agency.â€
