That's ok.  Trump forced me out of the GOP after 30 years.  It's not like any of this stuff was real.

Really.  We call liberals who love to dole out other people's money for the masses "bleeding heart liberals".  Your stance on immigration is what has been wrong with Republicans for a very long time.  Their amnesties and inability to stop the flow of benefits to people who break the laws make them RINO. (Not the only issue of course)  Not much of a difference between "bleeding heart liberal"

It is those RINO's that have been forcing me away from the party.  Because it has nothing to do with "heart", but everything to do with lobbyist and votes.    People like that are driving the American people away.  If the illegals keep pouring in then Americans will be the minority in America. Although I found Trumps promises during his campaign a fairytale I wished like all the rest of the people that voted for him that we could reign in illegal immigration.  It is ruining our country and putting us in debt.

You, in the GOP?  Get the bleep out of here.

He invited blue hammer banboy over.  That should tell you where his heart really lays.

I've been watching the same Trump show as you for over 3 years but I doubt we are seeing the same stuff.

You mean Trump-colored glasses?

You don't typically go for the personal insult in your posts.  I admire that.  If I have slighted you in some way that caused you pain I apologize.

Wondering how you see anything with your head so far up your azz 24/7/365.

Well... I was inspired last nite, so.... I doubt it as well.    happy77

That said, I'm still waiting for those two steps back he usually takes after a step forward.  A stupid tweet, an immature comment, etc.   It's probably in the works as we speak, but I'll wait for it before I bash it.  That's fair, don't you think?

No, I mean what I said.  Your distaste for Trump colors what you see and hear from him.  You can't even give him credit for a good, inspiring speech..... due to your dislike of the man.  It's obvious.

No, I don't like to do that... but I do so love snark and sarc....lol.   Nothing you've said about Trump has bothered me in the least. You're entitled to your opinion too....and I've been posting on political forums for over two decades.  No big deal to me.

The agreement reached tonight would include:

-$1.375b for border barriers (55 new miles of bollard fencing)
-Dems drop call for new cap on ICE beds for detentions in interior
-Overall cap on detention beds drops from 49,057 to 40,520

Per congressional official.

No way!  Who is negotiating for Trump?  This is a Democratic wet dream.

Remember...McConnell said a couple weeks ago he'd sign on to any deal that avoided a shutdown.

Here's that "deal".

We're screwed.

Anyone who believes the White House needs time to go over the details, because they haven’t been briefed, is buying a lie. The legislative affairs personnel were also involved with every step of the omnibus bill, last year.  When Trump said no one read it, he was FOS. They’ve been aware of the negotiation process and content, since discussions began.

Republican Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama, a lead negotiator, said Monday that the White House has been consulted “all along.”

-snip-

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says a bipartisan border security deal is “good news” as Congress races to avert another shutdown by Friday’s deadline.

McConnell opened the Senate on Tuesday by saying he was hopeful the chamber “can act on this legislation in short order.”

It's not a great deal.  But shutting down the government again would be counterproductive.

Do not agree.  The Dems are doing this because they don't believe Trump would shut it down again.  They need a dose of reality.  They are not coming to the table with a realistic offer they just want their way.

I guess he told them then that they could have their way without a fight.

Here’s the dose of reality - this ‘deal’ funds the government through the fiscal year, which I believe is until September. If there’s one thing McConnell and Pelosi agree upon, it’s that they want to be done with this and not hammer out things, every few weeks. There was an agreed upon CR last December. Trump backed out, after the base got fired up, when it sailed through the Senate. I’d almost guarantee they’d muster the votes in each part of Congress, to override him, if he tried that again. I’m guessing that’s been conveyed, during the discussions Shelby has had with WH personnel.
