Heaven has a wall: Grocery store ad mailer stirs controversy
« on: February 11, 2019, 02:11:44 pm »
KARK 2/10/2019

CAMDEN, Ark. (KARK) -  A family-owned Christian grocery store with several locations in Southeast Arkansas is dealing with backlash as customers argue a weekly ad mailer included a controversial political message.

The ad book was sent to four Mac’s Cashsaver stores in Arkansas. According to the store, the mailer typically includes a religious or political message. The current mailer includes a message that references the U.S./Mexico border wall controversy. It reads, ‘Heaven has a wall, a gate and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in.’

Those words aren’t sitting well with some customers.

“It just doesn’t make any sense," said Tyler Reede, who say the mailer while shopping at one of Camden stores. “Why would they put that on there?"

Other customers appreciated the message.

Those disgruntled customers can always shop elsewhere.

Apparently, someone has never heard the expression ‘the gates of hell.’
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

I have two questions
1) When did the truth become controversial?
2) Can they open up a store near me in VA.?

1.  Sometime around Bush's last term.  The whole country went to hell when these SJW got a crutch when the chosen one, B. Hussein Obama got into the White house.

2.  I'll take one in FL too!

1) When did the truth become controversial?

Since the Democrat Party was founded in 1832.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

-Ayn Rand-

Sometimes those "Cost Plus" places add 10% -15% at the register... We have one down here, but you got to be careful... that would be 20 cents more... still a good deal, but not the deceptive price listed. @Smokin Joe

Let's put it this way. In ND, I've been paying close to $4 for a pound of ground beef, unless I catch a sale. That isn't organic grass fed happy cows, just 85% lean. Anything under $2.50, and it's time to stock the freezer.

I assume $1.99 ground beef is the fattiest variety (73%?), not the 85% stuff.

LOL!

The 'ad' could be from GWB's administration.   That's how long this 'open borders' baloney has been an issue.

Looking closer at the ad, they have at least three locations, it is time to expand.

Based on their locations in MS, LA, and AR I'm not seeing a huge downside with that ad for them.  In fact it is a plus.  The bitchers and the moaners are just atheist rabble from some location near hell.
