Elizabeth Warren: Trump 'may not even be a free person' in 2020

President Trump may not occupy the White House by the time 2020 comes around as he could be behind bars instead, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., said Sunday.

“By the time we get to 2020, Donald Trump may not even by president,” Warren, who officially declared her candidacy for president Saturday, said during a campaign event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. “In fact, he may not even be a free person.”

Since the early months of the Trump administration, special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia has cast a shadow over Trump’s presidency.

The House and Senate Intelligence committees have also spent time probing Russia’s meddling in the election, and now that Democrats control the House and have gained subpoena power, investigations into Trump’s business dealings, finances, and presidential campaign are expected to ramp up.

That is what the Democrats are saying, like it or not.

Apparently the democrats believe the President's supporters are not paying attention.

This is a very foolish political strategy.

Unfortunately the percentage of registered DEM voters outnumber the GOP.; they outnumber them by 12 million. Just sayin'.  If anyone can find different stats as to how many registered Republican voters there are, I'd welcome the info.

2018: Democrats lead GOP by 12 million registered voters, 40% D, 29% R, 28% I

What are you "just sayin'" @libertybele ?  Are you saying we should just surrender now?

There are Independents out there along with Trump Democrats.  I'm more concerned with the liberals and NTs in our own tent.

That's not what I am saying at all. What I am saying is that the left has become unhinged and their voting base out numbers the GOP.  That is a reality.  The mid terms weren't pretty.

You are correct, the liberals and NTs in addition to that is very concerning. There still is no unity within the party, even with the kooks on the left.  As usual, the GOP(e) sits back and remains quiet.  We have a small handful of Republicans who seem to be speaking out; Paul, Cruz and Graham.  With surprisingly Graham being the most vocal.

Meanwhile the protests continue around the country from the left.  There have been reports that the RNC is already preparing for violent protests at the 2020 convention.  They are my other concern.  What is the RNC doing to ensure a reduction in voter fraud and leftist corruption?

That made me giggle, but in all seriousness you're going to need more than that to sink Warren. If Donald can get elected despite pussy grabbing and adultery then Warren can get elected despite how she filled out her application to be a Harvard professor. Most people that might possibly vote for her simply aren't going to be deterred by that.

Warren barely had relevancy over the years. The DNA testing was an absolute disaster. The recent revelation of her 1986 native American documentation claim is the coup de grace. She’s through.

No understanding of Constitutional process, and she wants to be President?

She would hardly be the first.

Unlike Trump, Warren will be lucky to survive long enough to reach the Iowa caucus.  Once Clinton announces, she will strike her teepee and disappear.

Once Clinton announces

I would bet $50,000 that that won't happen.

I'm just trying to be realistic. Donald Trump has said and done some very crude things in his life and still won.

I am certain you are correct.  I'm not a rat but I very much doubt the President's supporters are paying attention.

Birtherism didn't keep President Trump out of office.  I wouldn't count Warren out.  If she was saying what I wanted to hear I would minimize stuff from 1986.

“In fact, he may not even be a free person,” is a money line.  It will provide Fauxcahontas with lots of donations from true believing rats.

I know this because I reacted to it and lots of people here think I sound like a rat.  Both tribes have shown they have little trouble excusing the flaws of there own candidates because the other tribe is so terrible.  I think the media and the money will flow to the candidates who offers the most reactionary and divisive rhetoric.  Then it is a battle for the bases and the bases get fringier everyday.

It seems like a great recipe for a 3rd party spoiler.  Did you know that if neither major party candidate gets 270 electoral points it gets decided by the House. :2popcorn:

Yes, the whole Pocahontas issue has become ridiculous.
