Beto was once adrift in New York City. Now he's searching again.
« on: February 09, 2019, 11:46:24 AM »
This loser is coming out of his funk tomorrow to hold a competing antiwall demonstration in El Paso when Trump is holding his rally.

As the former Texas congressman weighs a run for president, his rebel-in-moderation youth offers revealing parallels to his search for direction now.
All at once, New York City seemed to be conspiring against Beto O’Rourke.

His girlfriend was moving to France. His punk bandmates had scattered. Twenty-three and searching — with an Ivy League degree that could not pay rent — Mr. O’Rourke subsisted as a live-in nanny on the Upper West Side, with a futon in the maid’s quarters, watching over a wealthy family’s two preschoolers.

“I just remember his dad coming,” said the former girlfriend, Sasha Watson, recalling a pep talk from Pat O’Rourke, a prominent Texas county commissioner and judge, who insisted his son was destined for “bigger things.”

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) will headline a rally on Monday in El Paso at the same time that President Trump
is set to hold a rally there.

O'Rourke will join rally-goers in El Paso to "show the country the reality of the border," according to a statement released by his office Friday.

After his navel-gazing vision quest, Robert Francis emerges from his funk. Can an announcement for a 2020 run be far behind? Just another demcom loser with no accomplishments.

I wonder if the podcast industry will yield a chance for Beto to debate Evan, thanks to Dave Rubin or Joe Rogan?

1. Will the "major" media do such a thing?

2. Would the candidates do such a thing?

The technology is available, for two candidates and a third moderator to stream live from three locations.

It is an ideal use of "long format" discussions.

I'm still trying to picture this college grad loser sleeping on a futon in the maid's quarters while he is a nanny for two little kids. He lost his girlfriend and his punk band disbanded and his daddy had to come see him to cheer him up. With his trespassing and drunk driving past and his ridiculous skate-boarding and loss to Cruz, I thought we might have seen the last of him.

But no, he is probably going to run in 2020 with that stellar past.

If Oprah interviewed Beto, He's a new darling of the left. Now if they can make him into some sort of celebrity, he could be a problem.

I suppose he has some charm.  He is, however very shallow.  No more than 1/4 inch deep.

My stepson is doing the same kind of drifting about, immersed in music, waiting tables, smoking dope, no idea about tomorrow, no focus at all.

The difference is that my stepson is 21, Robert is an adult.  Who wants to be president?

BEIJING — The comment was made behind closed doors, and appeared to be in jest: President Trump told donors on Saturday that China’s president, Xi Jinping, was now “president for life,” and added: “I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll want to give that a shot someday.”

“When the students poured into Tiananmen Square, the Chinese government almost blew it,” Trump told Playboy in a 1990 interview. “Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength.”

What an empty suit.

And a jerky, twitching empty suit, at that.

His speech mannerisms would indicate (to me, anyway).... that he is so disingenuous.... that he feels he must over-emphasize his words in order to make them convincing.  Most folks with half a working brain cell can see through this.  The lefties.... not so much.

Should BETO decided to run for president, and I think he will, he's going to be a problem.  I think everyone was surprised at how close he came to victory in TX.  Time and changing demographics are on his side.
"I believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey it laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies." -William Page

Don't forget the dead vote, the fraud vote, and the illegal vote.

But he will play counterpoint to the AOC and Harris and Bernie and be the DNCs 'reasonable' alternative to full out socialism--a wolf in sheep's clothing by comparison.

Robert Francis has already endorsed the new raw Green Deal. He's as left as they come and on record. He's also the wrong sex and race this time around. He makes my skin crawl.

He was a useful idiot for the Texas Rats.  Now that the shine is off his turd he really should cut bait.  Full time consideration of another endeavor might be in order.

I'm predicting a big week for Robert Francis. Counterprotest against the wall in El Paso when Trump holds his rally tomorrow. Then the Oprah puff piece next Saturday and announcing his candidacy for 2020 the next day. I hope I'm wrong.

The democrat debates for 2020 will be a real freak show.  So many real weirdos have already announced and we know that as many more will.

Plus, all the lefties who put up big bucks to try to get Ted Cruz defeated have to be way disappointed in their cute boy.

Even so, Beto came close enough in Texas to be a player. If he can come that close to Cruz on his home turf, what can he do in some place like California? Especially after the MSM went all fawning and worshiful on him. They control the image, the access, the appearance, and will coach if necessary, edit in favor of, and toss softball questions at any candidate they want to make a 'sensation', just like they do with talentless hacks every day. The shows on are just something to get you to watch the Madison Avenue stuff that pays the bills, and they are masters at emotional manipulation--and emotions drive the Democrat vote.

Hey there, Beto Boy
Dreaming; of the someone you could be
Life is a reality, you can't always run away
Don't be so scared of changing and rearranging yourself
It's time for jumping down from the shelf a little bit
Hey there, Beto Boy
There's another Beto deep inside
Bring out all the love you hide and, oh, what a change there'd be
The world would see a new Beto Boy.
