Bette Midler Advocates for the Unthinkable
2019-02-06 Source: American Update by: AU Staff
Bette Midler, the pro-choice singer, had some terrible words of encouragement for her Twitter followers recently.
According to Fox News:
Actress and singer Bette Midler urged her 1.53 million Twitter followers to “buy stock in coat hangers†while live tweeting President Trump’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.
Trump received applause from Republicans for condemning recent liberal efforts in Virginia and New York to change abortion laws during his address – but the “Beaches†star wasn’t impressed.
“Buy stock in coat hangers! Here we go, 60 years, back to the back alleys,†Midler wrote.

Between Bette Midler, Cher, Kathy Griffith, Joy Behar, if you harnessed the maximum amount of power from their brain cells combined, you would have enough power to dimly light a flashlight bulb for 5 minutes

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
