Jeep’s Ad is Legitimately Breathtaking
by Sheri Urban

I wasn’t expecting to be moved to tears by a Jeep ad.

Here I am, bawling.

I'm going to be a contrarian here, but I don't want my emotions to be exploited by companies trying to sell stuff.  If I buy a Jeep, it's going to be as unemotional an experience as I can make it.  Value, service, price, etc.  To hell with the modern-day Bernays.

Considering what some of the SB ads are it is nice to see Jeep honor the USA....it would never persuade me to buy a Jeep on that ad alone.

Thanks @mystery-ak
That’s a nice ad in this day and age

I like it.  Anything that moves the needle towards the right is valuable.  This is particularly timely and a not-so-subtle poke in the eye of the kneeling virtue signaling subtext that is present in the Super Bowl and NFL.

Nice ad, but I wouldn’t advise my worst enemy to buy a Jeep.  My husband has two for work vehicles, and most of the time, one or the other is in the shop.  Drop one off & pick up the other.

Nice ad.   Now, watch some idiot (like Michael Moore) do an anti-American version of that ad.  I can only imagine what they would replace some of those pro-American visuals with.

While I agree with your sentiments in general, I still love it drizzled on some grilled steak (or even a slab of good steak fish) from time to time.

That explains it.

1: Get the damn piano tuned.

2: If you can't get a Singer who can Sing in tune, use Pitch Correction software on him.

3: Better yet, Junk the piano/singer and go with a Death Metal band, or at least an interpretation of The "Banner", that doesn't sound like it's live from The Lizard Lounge.

Jeep, you've got the money. DO Better!

Sorry...

My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

I don’t get it—Jeep’s been out there making vehicles for how many years now?  Still can’t get it right.  My husband has had to get the heaters alone fixed about ten times, combined.  It’s to the point I see someone driving a new one and I feel sorry for them.

Gosh. You're saying that a lousy car company (Chrysler) merged with another terrible car company (Fiat) is building garbage cars? How can that possibly be?

Auto workers get big discounts on leases. Engineers who design the crap usually get free leases. Meaning those that design and build for the big 3 never have a car long enough for defect to show. Those of us that buy, reap the rewards, if we “Buy American.”

TV or other footage from wild Africa, you don't see Jeeps.

I switched from Nissan to Honda before 2006. Never had a problem since with Honda.

@RetBobbyMI

It’s Honda for me, too.  I drove my first Civic into the ground.  We bought my current one new in 2008 and it’s never needed a repair.

Wife drives a 2015 KIA Sorento w/78527 on the clock. So far, other than routine oil changes and air filters,  two anti-lock wheel sensors replaced under warranty, set of tires at around 40K, and front brake pads this week.

Thing rides and drives every bit as good as my old my old SAAB 900S.  Paid about $10K less for it than a comparably equipped Honda Pilot would have cost.

I drive a 2007 (pre-merger) 1 ton Dodge w/5.9 liter diesel and about 100K on the clock.  Put a K&N air filter on it around 30K. Never had a wrench on it except for routine maintenance. Drives great and gets about 20 MPG average.

Put a K&N air filter on it around 30K.

Ya know all those K&N's do is throw oil onto the MAF sensor and make the car run like shit.
