‘We’ve Become Dumber’: Media Rushes to Tie Record-Breaking Cold to Global Warming

A “polar vortex” event is breaking record-low temperature readings across the Great Plains and Midwest, and many in the media are rushing to blame the deep freeze on global warming.

The New York Times, for example, filled the top of its website with coverage of the Midwest’s polar plunge, including one prominent article that claims record heat in Australia and record cold in the U.S. were two sides of the global warming coin.

“Also, broadly speaking, scientists say, a hotter planet makes extreme weather more frequent and more intense,” reads the Times article, warning we live in the “Age of Weather Extremes.”

The problem with the warmist crazy claim that hot weather in Australia is causing cold air to shoot down to the U.S. is that they've been claiming for decades now that the Arctic is heating up.
In short,  THERE ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE ANY MORE COLD AIR!!!  anywhere. It's currently 14 degrees below zero in Point Barrow, Alaska well above the Arctic Circle.  Where are the superhot Australian temps in the Arctic?

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Problem is they blame both warm and cold winters on global warming. It can't be both.

Which means that unless winter is absolutely average, then it's global warming. But averages include the extremes, and it's deceptive sleight of hand to imply anything anything but average is AGW.
The Republic is lost.

Too hot? Global warming.
Too cold? Global warming.
About right? Global warming.
Too wet? Global warming.
Too dry? Global warming.
About right? Global warming.

No matter what:  Global warming.

Got it?
